Therapy in San Luis Obispo
Victoria Fisher
Licensed Therapist
My approach to therapy is client centered therapy which is a strength based and humanistic. With this approach I believe that individuals have with themselves the capacity for personal growth. I believe in the importance and power of the therapeutic relationship and how feeling heard, validated and supported can help towards one’s personal growth. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing therapeutic techniques and theories based on each individual and their unique needs. I also place value on evidence-based approaches including utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing in my practice when working with individuals who feel stuck in their lives and continue to experience emotional distress because of trauma. I am passionate about working with children. I value the importance of early intervention and the impact it may have on the child and their family members. I look forward to getting to know you and joining you on your therapeutic journey.
